Lake Hortonia Ice Fishing Derby is the annual Vermont ice fishing championship in Vermont in Hubbardton. The event is always on the second weekend of February. The elegant fish species include the northern pike, bass, yellow beets, Crappie and others. Hubbardton is a historic town in Vermont and home to the Hubbardton Memorial. This small town where Green Mountain Boys flew the first US flag in 1777 against the British. There are huge gorgeous lakes that are excellent for Lake Horton, Beebe Pond and Echo Lake. Hubbardton Battlefield and Memorial are also located here.
Magic Hat Mardi Gras Parade and Block Party is a Burlington, Vermont annual event. Interesting floats enter the church street, rock bands and brass bands play in the background.
