Tahoe Lake: Getting There & Getting Around

Planning a Tahoe Lake Trip? Regardless of whether you are on the north or south coast, you can get there.

Flight:
If you want to fly, the North and South Coast are just a 45-minute drive from Reno / Tahoe International Airport, 2001 East Plumb Lane, Reno, NV 89502 (775-328-6400)

Reno:

Reno:
From Reno / Tahoe International Airport, Slight left to Plumb Lane. Continue straight to Plumb Lane. Turn left at Matley Lane. Merge to the US-395 S via the Carson City ramp.

To the North Shore:
Exit to US-395 S toward Carson City. Take the NV-431 W / Mt Rose Hwy, turn right at NV-28 W / Tahoe Blvd. Continue CA-28 to North Lake Tahoe.

To the South:
Exit at US-395 S / S Virginia St toward Virginia City / Carson City / So Lake Tahoe. Continue following US-395 S. Slight right at N Carson St / US-395 BUS. Continue on N Carson St.-en. Slight right to the 50 W direction. Continue straight on US 50 W to South Lake Tahoe

From Sacramento:

North Shore:
Take the I-80 E 90 meters. Take CA-89 / CA-267 to exit the Sierraville / Tahoe River, turn right at CA-267 E. Turn left onto N Lake Blvd. Right here in North Tahoe.

South Shore:
Through Highway 50 East through Placerville and Echo Summit through Meyers City. Continue the northeast on the combined route, at CA-89 N / US-50 E (4.9 mi), at the intersection of Hwy 89 and Hwy 50 / Lake Tahoe Blvd. (Do not turn on the Pioneer Trail). Turn right onto Hwy 50 / Lake Tahoe Blvd. It is now in South Lake Tahoe.

From Los Angeles:
North Shore: I-5 to I-80 E. Merge to CA-267 to Sierraville / Lake Tahoe, Blvd.

Or

Take Hwy 395 N to the bishop? Adelanto. Merge to US-50W. Take the NV-28 toward Lakeshore Blvd and continue on the CA-28W.

South Shore: Take North Sacraments
Take Hwy 50 East on Placerville and Echo Summit via Meyers Town. Continue the northeast on the combined route, at CA-89 N / US-50 E (4.9 mi), at the intersection of Hwy 89 and Hwy 50 / Lake Tahoe Blvd. (Do not turn on the Pioneer Trail). Turn right at Hwy 50 / Lake Tahoe Blvd. Now or in South Lake Tahoe.

Or

Take Hwy 395 North to Every / Gardnerville

Take Hwy 88 and head for Centerville Lane to Foothill (Hwy 206)

Turn right Kingsbury (Hwy 207) to South Shore

Enjoy the majestic beauty that Tahoe Lake offers today!
