Parc Monceau is a community space in the 8th district of Paris, at the intersection of Boulevard de Courcelles, Rue de Prony and Rue Georges Berger. The community space was created by Phillippe d 'Orléans, Duke of Chartres and the King's cousin. In 1769 he began to buy the land on which he started the garden in 1769 and bought Louis Carrogis Carmontelle to design the gardens. He was a close friend of Prince Welsh, then IV. George and every English thing devotee. As a result, a bizarre English-style garden emerged in the center of Paris. In 1778, during successive purchases, the garden was converted to 12 hectares. It is known as the "Folie de Chartres" (Chartres "Folly").
The park's "English" technique makes strange in France: casual sorts, rolled ponyas and improvised sculptures from the more traditional French-style garden. It also recognizes the upside-down architectural features, including Egyptian pyramids, Chinese fortifications, Dutch windmills and Corinthian pillars. All in all, this is a masonry acknowledgment, and the truth that Philippe d 'Orléans was the first mason. Famous French figures include the statues of Guy de Maupassant, Frédéric Chopin, Charles Gounod, Ambroise Thomas and Edouard Pailleron.
During the French Revolt of 1930, the prince was executed with gilotin, state owned. The Farmer's General Enclosure in Paris has bordered the park. In 1797 it was the first parachute jumper where André-Jacques Garnerin jumped from a Montgolfier hot-air balloon, landing in the park where a massive crowd gathered.
The garden was purchased by the city of Paris in 1860. Half of the land was allocated for the construction of new houses. This was possible for Baron Haussmann and the other 50% was green and became a public park opened by Napoleon on August 13, 1861. Claude Monet painted three paintings in the park in the spring of 1876.
