Chatuchak market in Thailand

Bangkok Chatuchak market is a must-see. There is nothing like a marketplace experience on 35 acres of land and it sells more than 15,000 stalls, all from Buddha sculptures to exotic pets and T-shirts.

Chatuchak Market is located beside Chatuchak Park at the northern end of Bangkok. The market is only open on weekends and needs to arrive early, no later than 9.30 am or 10.00 am. You will find that the market is buzzing with people at noon, and the weight of the mass is quite stalled. Make sure you keep your wallet or purse sharp, or you may lose it with the pocket trays on the market.

A simple trip to the Chatuchak market takes Skytrain and takes off at the last stop of the Sukkhumvit line in the north. The stop is Mo Chit and you will see the many booths as soon as the Skytrain launches the station. The Skytrain Station is a 5-minute walk from the Market. Alternatively, you can take the metro and Kampangphet. The entrance to the MRT metro station is on the market.

Be sure to wear a bottle of water and wear comfortable clothing and shoes. As anything and everything can be gained in the Chatuchak market, buy your gifts as they are able to take things away from the traditional "touristic" store. Thai silk, handicraft, wood carving, jewelery and gemstones will get the best deals on Chatuchak market.
