Acapulco (Acapulco)

Mexico's first great resort, Acapulco, is an astonishingly beautiful town around the Pacific Ocean. Truly, tropics, palm trees and other exotic plants everywhere. The views over the bay are beautiful, the sunsets are legendary, and the lights of the city are nice in every respect at night.

What should I do? Swim (but remember that some beaches are rough surfing and undertows), they work for tan, eating and drinking at various restaurants and clubs … and staying late (or all night) to dance on the disco. Diving, fishing, boating and other water sports are available, such as golf courses and tennis courts. Shopping is great fun but it does not matter in Mexico for the best deals in this tourist center. Famous divers have jumped on the extremely high rocks in the La Quebrada Sea … this is something to look at not to do! Above all, Acapulco is a place to relax.

I was in Acapulco as a child and as an adult. Of course, the city has changed a lot; The weird little motel just a block away from the beach, where I stayed in my childhood, has long since disappeared, replaced by new and higher buildings.

I loved the city as a child and still enjoy the natural beauty and the beaches. Although this is a huge city and very touristic, I still think Acapulco is an excellent place for a beach holiday. The glittering celebrities are more likely to go to new resorts – Cancún and others – small towns or fishing ports when Acapulco was the rising star.

If you discover the central market and other places in the obvious A major tourist areas you can get real contact with people. Today, most tourists are Mexican and can chat with them on the beach. Do not speak Spanish? No problem! Smiles are a long way, and many Mexicans can speak English.

Weather in Acapulco is very beautiful every winter, hot and humid in the summer. It's a good thing to see the beach!
