Which motorcycle alarm system is right for you?

With all competing technology or so-called technologies it is difficult to determine which one is best for bicycle protection. Bicycle thieves do not have to start the bicycle now, they are stolen and picked up and placed in the rear of the trucks that made the motorcycle alarm system unusable.

Lo-Jack The motorcycle safety system was introduced in 1984 and is based on Loran-C technology. For its operation, the police vehicle is equipped with a special radio receiver to track the signal emitted by the Lo-Jack product. The Lo-Jack emits an FM-based beep. The homing receiver signals only the direction of the output signal; can not determine the exact location. for example, the receiver can not say that the homing device is 10 feet or miles away. Lo-Jack is limited to a few countries, around 26 nationwide markets. Lo-Jack is also limited to markets where markets operate on police vehicles.

Cycle Protect

Cycle Protect is probably a much stronger motorcycle alarm system. This is wireless data, GPS device. Physically, Cycle Protect is slightly larger than the Phantom Tracker and requires external antennas that are clearly visible on the motorcycle. Antennas are vulnerable to tampering and blocking by a thief

During an alarm event, the text message of the Cycle Protect device is a prefixed phone number. Then the owner must have access to a computer with an Internet connection, access the Cycle Protect website, enter the passwords, and then show the location of the motorcycle. The owner calls the local police and asks for help in finding a motorcycle. There is no call center to warn the owner and the police of a theft and no collision detection available for the product.

Scorpio Motorcycle Alarm

Scorpio products offer a two-way FM motorcycle safety system that uses a miniature handheld receiver. The owner of the motorcycle will be installed and the Scorpio alarm on the motorcycle will send a radio signal to the transceiver when the motorcycle is moved, giving a vibration signal. Even though Scorpio requires up to a mile, this is based on a clear field of vision. Trees, buildings, cars, altitude changes, and other obstacles reduce the functional range of the device.

There is no such exploitation option; after theft of the motorcycle, the efficient use of the appliance has been completed.

Conventional Wheel Locks, Worm Blocks and Chain Locks

These products are already around as long as motorcycles are around. They provide some protection against the immobilisation of the motorcycle but limit their effectiveness. Most of the wheel screws that are often attached to the front rotor of the motorcycle have received a lot of attention, but as many motorcycles have been stolen and put into trucks, the wheel locks are ineffective in this case. The same applies to the fork locks which lock the front fork of the motorcycle in a reverse position and the motorcycle also has this effect.

The chain locks work well in these situations, however, if a motorcycle is a stationary object, however, not available at all locations.
